The Leader of the Opposition in Kerala, V.D. Satheesan, criticized the Governor and Chief Minister for engaging in high-profile disputes to distract the public from important social issues. He accused both leaders of trying to divert attention from their own shortcomings by engaging in a mock fight. Satheesan also mentioned a ruling front legislator’s accusations of corruption within the police force, which further added to the controversy. He dismissed the conflicts between the Governor and Chief Minister as temporary and alleged that the BJP and CPI(M) were working together to undermine the Congress. In response, CPI(M) members dismissed the accusations and criticized the Governor for his actions.
