Chennai train accident: 13 coaches derail as Mysuru-Darbhanga express train rams into stationary train at Kavaraipettai



A train accident occurred at Kavaraipettai Railway Station near Chennai Division, causing at least 13 coaches to derail. A speeding express train collided with a stationary goods train due to a signal failure. The passengers of the stranded train were transported by buses and special trains. Fortunately, the train crew was safe, and no casualties were reported, although some injuries were sustained. Rescue teams and medical assistance were deployed to the site. Train movement in the area was affected, and alternative arrangements were being made for passengers. The incident was reminiscent of a previous accident in Odisha, highlighting the importance of safety measures in railway operations.
