Kochi metro’s feeder buses start arriving in the city

The first lot of five electric buses for Kochi Metro Rail Ltd. has arrived in the city, with the remaining 10 on their way. These buses will operate feeder trips from metro stations, with the first five possibly running from Aluva terminal station to the international airport. The fare structure is being finalized, with tickets priced reasonably. The buses will be recharged at various points along the route, with a travel range of 160 km. These air-conditioned buses do not require permits to operate on different routes, giving KMRL flexibility in operations. Public transport enthusiasts suggest optimizing the use of these premium buses, potentially earning good revenue.
