An Air India Express flight experienced a technical issue with its landing gear shortly after takeoff from Tiruchirappalli airport. The pilot circled for two hours to burn off fuel before landing safely at the same airport. The Ministry of Civil Aviation confirmed the safe landing and stated that an internal investigation has been launched. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin commended the Captain and crew for their handling of the situation. Air India Express clarified that no emergency was declared during the incident and that an alternative aircraft is being arranged for the passengers’ onward journey.
