B Nagendra: Ex-Minister Nagendra Accused of Diverting 20 Crore for Lok Sabha Elections | Bengaluru News



The Enforcement Directorate stated that a special PMLA court in Bengaluru has taken cognizance of the chargesheet filed against former Karnataka minister B Nagendra in the Karnataka Maharishi Valmiki ST Development Corporation scam. Nagendra is accused of diverting Rs 20 crore from ST welfare funds for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He is said to be the prime accused and mastermind of the scam, working with 24 others including key associates. The investigation revealed that funds were siphoned off through shell accounts and used for election expenses and personal use. The agency also accused Nagendra of obstructing the investigation by destroying evidence.
