North al Batinah social investment forum highlights sustainable development

The North al Batinah Social Investment Forum aimed to bring together private businesses and social institutions to focus on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility in Oman. Over 350 participants from various sectors attended the event in Suhar, supported by the North al Batinah Governor’s office and Jusoor. The forum included the Social Investment Award, with projects recognized in categories such as social, environmental, educational, and sports & health. Key discussions and agreements were made to promote social investment as a tool for sustainable development, with a focus on private sector involvement and legislation supporting social investments. Recommendations were made to establish a social investment committee and guidelines aligning practices with Omani values.
