The National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Chennai has arrested Tamil Nadu Hizb-ut-Tahrir (HuT) chief Faizul Rahman for alleged anti-India activities. Rahman is the seventh person to be arrested in the case, with others involved in spreading propaganda against voting and promoting secessionism. The group used social media platforms to spread their ideology and held secret meetings to further their agenda. The NIA took over the case in July and is investigating the organization’s activities in Tamil Nadu.
