Activists from the BJP Minority Morcha protested against the alleged encroachment of land by the Waqf Board at Munambam. BJP State president K. Surendran accused Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of violating constitutional norms by not sending senior government officials to meet the Governor. The BJP is standing by the residents facing eviction in Munambam and introduced a Waqf Amendment Bill in Parliament to protect Waqf properties. The party’s leader led a protest march to the Kerala Waqf Board office.
