House GOP chairman demands FEMA accountability for Hurricane Helene after flooding claims more than 200 lives

The chairman of a House Homeland Security subcommittee is asking FEMA for details on its preparations for Hurricane Helene, which caused catastrophic flooding in several Southern states. FEMA received a letter from Rep. D’Esposito requesting information on forecasting models, resource positioning, and coordination with partners.
