Junior doctors in West Bengal are planning to end their “total cease work” and resume normal duties soon. After a meeting, they have decided to hold a rally to announce their decision. However, they will set a deadline for the State Government to meet their demands, or they will launch an indefinite fast. The doctors had previously gone on strike after attacks on medics and the rape and murder of a fellow doctor. They are now calling for improved safety and healthcare measures. Despite their protests, they are mindful of the patients who rely on State-run hospitals and plan to continue their demonstrations.
