Delhi Man Arrested for Extorting Rs 5 Lakh Using Gangster’s Name | Delhi News



A 38-year-old man named Nitin Manchanda has been arrested by the Delhi Police Crime Branch for demanding Rs 5 lakh in extortion from two businessmen in Delhi, claiming ties to notorious gangster Neeraj Bawania. The victims received threatening calls and filed complaints, leading to Manchanda’s arrest near Majlis Park Metro Station. He used a keypad mobile phone and two SIMs for extortion. Manchanda’s descent into crime began due to financial struggles after leaving his job at Delhi Metro. He saw extortion as a quick way to make money after being inspired by gangsters on social media.
