Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu criticized his predecessor Jagan Mohan Reddy for the controversy surrounding Tirupati Balaji prasadam laddoos, accusing him of justifying his actions. Naidu formed a committee to investigate the matter, alleging that procedures for procuring ghee were altered during Reddy’s tenure. Reddy, on the other hand, wrote to PM Modi seeking Naidu’s reprimand, calling him a habitual liar. The TTD Executive Officer stated that the temple does not have the capacity to test products for adulteration. The controversy has reached the courts, with petitions filed in the Andhra Pradesh High Court and the Supreme Court.
