Brazil court asks X for documents as the platform starts to comply with orders



The Brazilian Supreme Court has asked Elon Musk’s social platform X to provide documents validating its new legal representative in Brazil in order to resume operations after being shut down for not complying with court orders related to hate speech moderation. X’s lawyers have stated that the platform will now comply with the court demands, including naming a legal representative in Brazil and paying fines. The platform had previously refused to meet these demands, leading to a dispute between Musk and the court. X had briefly become accessible to users in Brazil after an update bypassed the court-ordered block.
