Four arrested for diverting eggs meant for govt. school meal scheme

Four individuals were apprehended in Edamalaipatti Pudur for allegedly misusing eggs meant for the government’s meal program for school children. Acting on a tip, food safety officers discovered that eggs with official stamps were being diverted to a local hotel. The investigation revealed that an anganwadi worker’s husband had been redirecting eggs meant for the meal scheme to the hotel. The four individuals involved were arrested by the local police.
