Guardians clinch second division title in 3 years

The Cleveland Guardians won the American League Central championship for the second time in three years under rookie manager Stephen Vogt. Despite a loss to the St. Louis Cardinals, the team celebrated their accomplishment with a clubhouse party. Vogt credited the players for their success and emphasized the importance of getting to know them and putting them in positions to succeed. The Guardians clinched the division title when the Kansas City Royals lost to San Francisco. This marks Cleveland’s fifth division crown since 2016 and their first playoff appearance since 2022. The team’s resilience, camaraderie, and focus on winning games have been key factors in their success. Vogt’s leadership has been praised, and the team is now in contention for a top seed in the American League playoffs.
