A 21-year-old computer science student was arrested for recording inside a women’s toilet using his mobile phone. The student was caught red-handed by a girl who noticed the phone placed in the ventilator. The student was dragged out, locked in the principal’s chamber, and later arrested by the police. The police criticized the college management for not having working CCTVs near the toilets and not deploying a woman attendant. The student had recorded for nearly 15 minutes before being caught. The incident took place at a private engineering college near Kumbalagodu on Mysuru Road.
