Kerala Cricket League: ‘chhattisgarh-based People Offered Bribes’ | Thiruvananthapuram News



The police in Thiruvananthapuram are investigating allegations of match-fixing and betting in the Kerala Cricket League. They have found that players were offered bribes to sabotage matches by people from Chhattisgarh. Two players were offered large sums of money to bowl wides or no balls during matches. The police have received the address of the accused and are planning to travel to Chhattisgarh with the help of local police to track them down. The players were contacted through Instagram and WhatsApp, and the police are working to uncover the identities of the individuals involved. Cases have been registered under various sections of the law relating to abetting an offence, cheating, and the IT and gaming acts.
