It Student Falls For Wfh Scam, Loses Rs 17l |



A 26-year-old resident of Gurukul in Ahmedabad was scammed out of Rs 17.09 lakh by cyberfraudsters who promised her work-from-home opportunities. Khyati Kundariya filed a complaint with the Cybercrime police against individuals using Telegram user IDs Neelamsharma1 and Mutinex, as well as two phone numbers. She was contacted by individuals claiming to represent DataRate, a German company, and Mutinex from Australia. After agreeing to the offer, Kundariya was instructed by Telegram user Neelam Sharma to download an app called Mutinex and complete various tasks. She was later asked to pay fees for a visa in order to secure a job abroad.
