Public health projects worth ₹9.18 crore launched in Ernakulam



Public health projects worth ₹9.18 crore were launched in Ernakulam as part of the State government’s 100-day programme. Health Minister Veena George inaugurated 15 programmes in various constituencies, including the opening of a labour room and an emergency operation theatre at the Aluva district hospital. Additionally, a public health centre, outpatient block, and family health centres were inaugurated at different locations. The Cochin Cancer Centre is set to become functional soon, with funds allocated for a critical care centre at Kalamassery. The Minister highlighted the achievements of the Ernakulam General Hospital and announced various projects for improving healthcare facilities in the region.
