Delhi goes green: Electric vehicles to replace aging Gramin Sewa fleet

The Delhi government has approved replacing old Gramin Sewa vehicles with electric ones to promote cleaner transportation. Owners who want to buy a new electric vehicle must apply online through a faceless platform using Aadhar for verification. Once approved, they must scrap the old vehicle at an authorized facility and get a Certificate of Deposit. With the NDC and COD, they can purchase a new electric vehicle and apply for registration. These new electric vehicles will offer greater comfort and efficiency, improving the overall quality of life for Delhi’s residents.
