Dodgers’ Shohei Ohtani becomes first player to reach 50/50 club in MLB history



Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani made history by hitting his 50th home run and stealing his 50th base in the same season, a first in MLB. Ohtani achieved this milestone during a game against the Miami Marlins, where he hit two home runs and stole two bases. Despite not pitching this season due to Tommy John surgery, Ohtani has had a remarkable impact, ranking sixth in Wins Above Replacement. He signed a lucrative 10-year, $700 million contract with the Dodgers and has helped lead the team to first place in the NL West.
