A 62-year-old woman was tragically murdered by her husband in Kottarakkara, Kollam. The husband, Suendran Pillai, strangled his wife, Saraswathy Amma, while she was stitching clothes, then hacked and stabbed her. The motive behind the crime was suspicion of infidelity. Pillai changed his clothes, confessed to his neighbor, and then turned himself in at the police station. The couple has two sons, one working in Ernakulam and the other in Saudi Arabia. The police have arrested Pillai and a case of murder has been registered. Despite his actions, Pillai does not seem to regret his crime.
