Former University of Michigan counselor Greg Harden has passed away at the age of 75. Harden counseled notable athletes such as Tom Brady, Michael Phelps, Desmond Howard, and J.J. McCarthy. He was hired by Bo Schembechler in 1986 and became a trusted mentor and friend to many Wolverines. Harden’s impact on athletes like Brady and McCarthy was profound, with both crediting him for their success. Harden retired in 2020 but continued to advise student-athletes at Michigan and the Toronto Maple Leafs. His legacy lives on through his book and the positive influence he had on those he worked with.
