The Enforcement Directorate conducted raids in various locations across West Bengal in connection with an alleged ration scam. The raids targeted the homes and godowns of ration shop traders, a food inspector’s residence, and a cooperative bank branch. The objective of the raids is to uncover links to the multi-crore scam for which former Food Minister Jyotipriya Mallick was arrested in October. This is not the first time the ED has conducted raids related to this case, as they had previously raided 10 locations in July. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the truth behind the alleged scam.
