Renowned sculptor Anila Jacob is opening up her home in Aluva for an exhibition called Anilam, showcasing her impressive works. At 83, she reflects on her successful six-decade career and expresses her desire to work on even larger sculptures. Anila, the first woman sculptor in India to win a national award, credits her mentor KCS Paniker for guiding her in her artistic journey. Her sculptures, known for their fluid expression, often feature elements of rural landscapes. The exhibition will run from September 12 to 14 at her residence, with a documentary tribute in the works.
