Russia expels 6 British diplomats it accuses of spying and ’subversive activities’

Russia’s Federal Security Service has accused six British diplomats of spying and has decided to withdraw their accreditation, with plans to expel them from the country. The FSB claims that the diplomats were sent by a division of the U.K. Foreign Office with the intention of causing harm to Russia through intelligence-gathering and subversive activities. This move comes shortly after the U.S. and Britain pledged additional aid to Ukraine, and Ukrainian officials expressed interest in using Western-provided missiles against targets in Russia. The British Embassy in Moscow has not yet responded to the accusations.
