‘Waiting For Two Hours’: Mamata Banerjee, Doctors Yet To Meet As Deadlock Over Live Streaming Continues



West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was left waiting for junior doctors who were protesting the rape and murder of their colleague at Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital. The doctors refused to meet with Banerjee after authorities did not allow live streaming of the discussion. Banerjee expressed her willingness to have an open discussion with the doctors, but they did not show up. Despite the deadlock, Banerjee stated that no action would be taken against the doctors. The matter is subjudice, which is why live streaming was not permitted. The situation remains tense as the standoff between the doctors and the Chief Minister continues.
