A man accused of over 50 theft cases, known as Spider Sabu, was arrested along with his aide in Angamaly by a special squad led by Perumbavoor Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) on September 11. They were allegedly planning another theft when they were apprehended. Sabu used to scope out potential targets during the day and commit the thefts at night. The duo met in jail last year and started working together after their release in March. Sabu has a long history of theft cases and was even accused of murder in 2001. The arrests were made by a team led by ASP Mohit Rawat.
