On Tuesday, Ahmedabad and several other regions in Gujarat experienced light to heavy rainfall, catching many commuters off guard. The India Meteorological Department forecasted more rain for the city and surrounding areas on Wednesday, with a decrease in temperature from the previous day. Parts of the state were expected to receive heavy rains, while others may experience thunderstorms. The rain intensity was predicted to reduce from Thursday onwards. Overall, 94 talukas received rainfall, with Umarpada, Surat receiving the highest amount.
