Erdogan seeks Islamic alliance against Israel

Turkish President Erdogan called for Islamic countries to form an alliance against Israel, following the killing of a Turkish-American woman in the West Bank. He criticized Israeli “arrogance” and “banditry” and called for solidarity against expansionism. Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes in Gaza have killed at least 61 people in the past 48 hours. Efforts to broker a ceasefire have failed, with the US preparing a new proposal. CIA Director Burns emphasized the need for political will and compromise to end the conflict. Hamas has not made new demands and accused Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu of adding new conditions. The situation remains tense with no clear resolution in sight.
