The government in Thiruvananthapuram has established an advisory committee to improve the organ transplant process in the state, according to Health Minister Veena George. The committee will work under the Transplantation of Human Organs Act to provide guidance and support to the appropriate authority. The nine-member committee, led by a senior health department official, includes medical experts, social workers, legal experts, and representatives from NGOs and organ recipients. The committee will serve for two years and aims to streamline and enhance organ transplant procedures in Kerala.
