The health minister, Veena George, announced that stroke centres will be opened in Malappuram and Wayanad this year to provide timely and scientific treatment to stroke patients. The Mission Stroke training programme aims to increase awareness among healthcare workers and ensure prompt treatment for stroke survivors to improve their quality of life. The project, implemented in collaboration with medical organizations, will train healthcare workers in all districts to eliminate delays in stroke diagnosis. The initiative will include continuous training programmes in different districts, starting with Pathanamthitta and then Kozhikode.
