Vinayaka Chathurthi celebrated with fervour, leaders join celebrations



Vinayaka Chathurthi was celebrated with great enthusiasm across the south, with leaders like Telangana CM Revanth Reddy participating in the festivities. People gathered in temples to offer worship, and grand Ganesha idols were installed in cities like Chennai and Hyderabad. Traditional rituals were followed, including making a huge sweet Kozhukattai for the deity. Various themes were featured in Ganesh pandals, and police denied permission in some places for alleged violations. Marketplaces buzzed with activity as people bought pooja items. In Andhra Pradesh, CM Naidu joined the celebrations in Vijayawada, while in Telangana, the nine-day festivities began with a 70 ft idol at Khairatabad. Eco-friendly Ganesha idols were popular, and elaborate security arrangements were made for the immersion of idols. Overall, the celebrations were peaceful, with a focus on promoting sustainability and cleanliness.
