ADGP M R Ajith Kumar has confirmed meeting RSS leaders Dattatreya Hosabale and Ram Madhav at hotels in Thrissur and Kovalam in 2023. He explained to CM Pinarayi Vijayan that these were personal visits. The meeting was kept confidential until opposition leader V D Satheesan revealed it. Satheesan alleged that the meetings were to disrupt Thrissur Pooram and forge a political understanding for elections. The special branch reported Ajith Kumar’s visit and said he arrived with a Vijnana Bharati leader. Ajith Kumar did not use his official vehicle for the visits. The Vijnana Bharati leader helped arrange the meeting with Ram Madhav.
