Outrage in Chennai: Motivational speaker’s superstitious speech sparks protests, headmasters transferred | Chennai News

A self-styled motivational speaker named Mahavishnu gave a speech promoting superstitions at two government schools in Chennai. He claimed that mantras could bring firestorms, cure illnesses, and enable teleportation. This led to a backlash from political and social leaders, resulting in the transfer of both headmasters who allowed the speaker to talk. The school education minister condemned the speaker for insulting a visually impaired teacher and promised to take action. An inquiry was conducted, and the headmistress and headmaster were transferred to different schools. The incident sparked protests and criticism for allowing such unscientific and superstitious ideas to be promoted in schools.
